The Thick of It mostly focused on the UK government in Westminster, but do you lot think that there is potential for a TToI-style show revolving around Holyrood, or the Senedd, or Stormont, or the London Assembly, or maybe just a council administration?

In a way I feel like it would be a little redundant for one of the devolved administrations, but I’d like to see a show about a local council, particularly if it was made by the same team. I think it could be quite amusing to watch all the same manoeuvring and backstabbing and shouting from TToI against the backdrop of really minor and parochial disputes.
Parks and Rec but make it Iannucci is what I’m hearing
Sold
Funny you mention this, I was thinking of making a version of the thick of it for the Senedd just yesterday - they've had a few gaffs lately that would work perfectly in my opinion
"I really like cheese"
"Eat the cheese Nicholson!"
I was thinking of the recent Zoom meeting gaff Vaughan Gething had, it's like the perfect sketch.
TTOI buses, TTOI trains, TTOI phones....
I know what transport fucking entails!
you’re just naming objects phil.
Think the writers said a few years ago the real world became to crazy to parody.
Seems like an understatement now.
Check out Veep, the show Iannucci did after. Fantastic.
A thick of it style show about stormont would e fucking incredible
In Australia there is a show called the Hollow men, it's made in 2006 - 2007 ish, it's got the inbetweener type character in it.
It a funny to watch at times but it feels like a knockoff.
There’s a show called Damned set in the office of Children’s Services in the fictional Elm Health Council. Just a bunch of disillusioned social workers and funny situation. Its from Channel 4 and is available on Prime. Great cast!
Just make series 5 of the thick of it
