Carol and the Autoscorers are honestly the reason why GX fluctuates between being my first or second favorite season. Sure, it had its flaws, but it’s so much fun to watch

Same! Its tied with XV imo.

XV was great, but as a Tsubasa fan, I didn’t really like that she was basically the season’s punching bag, which is why I tend to rate AXZ higher than XV

I didn’t enjoy GX as much, it felt too... slowed? I dunno, it lacked the feeling of progress that AXZ and G had

For me it was Carol. I hated how they literally said “hey Carol your goals are wrong, Father didn’t want this.”
And she simply doubled down on it.
That, and I hated the whole “haha, you killed my Autoscorers, but that was part of the plan!” Thing. It cheapened their victories and felt like a GM just trying to rerail a plot after their players killed the BBEG’s minions sooner than expected.
I did enjoy the scorers more than Tiki tho.

I disagree at the "It was part of the plan" part, One of my major problems with GX before It got revealed to be plot relevant was How the Autoscorers beat the shit out of the gear users in EVERY BATTLE but never finished them off. The Reveal that Elfnein's escape, the İgnite module and Autoscorers' defeat all being a part of the plan perfectly explanied everything Which I really like
