I'd prefer to focus on not only the issues in the state, but maybe taking a look at what the US is doing with the immigrant "detention centers". That is something way more in our and Ever's control rather than dealing with a foreign nation.

Are there detention centers in Wisconsin? If that's not what you're saying, please correct me (I can see you meaning he would have some influence over politics in other states too, which I'm all for doing something about too). If that's the case maybe the two of us could write to Evers about that too, and if we plan something maybe we could do more.

It's ethnic cleansing is not genocide going on in plain view as the world watches. Yes there are many bad things going on right now but this shouldn't be allowed to happen in this day & age.

Hi Horzzo, thank you for your support on this issue. Unfortunately if reports from news sources are true (Here's one example from the journal Independent in the UK, though it's understandable one might not convince you, so if you want the truth you or I could get news from a variety of sources and talk), then Uyghurs are being killed (which, by Wikipedia definition of genocide, is when, as a part of ethnic cleansing, certain parts of that group are killed), so there is genocide occurring as a part of the larger ethnic cleansing.

Right now the Uyghur ethnic group is being systematically eradicated in China, and there's too much evidence of the inhuman treatment these people are suffering from to say that it's a conspiracy or hoax that we can shove under a rug. I ask you to make a statement saying you're against this human rights violation, and think about changing some Wisconsin policies that China profits off of in protest of these acts. I don't know. I was thinking something related to Chinese imports and corporations in Wisconsin, but unsure about exact policies, which is why I asked him to think about it instead of do it (like with the statement). If you have ideas I'd love to hear them to I could amend the request to our governor with more specifics and good ideas.

Yeah. As bad as whats happening in china is we need to pick up our own house before we can criticize anothers. Its a distraction we don't need to bring to the table.
Hey I sent a reply to the other guy that I think could relate to you too. Sometimes by helping your neighbors with their house the effort you put in can kick back to helping out your own.
This reply is cute and quaint and full of midwestern nice. The problem is you are assuming China is or wants to be a neigbor.
China doesn't give the SLIGHTEST fuck about anything that the United States as a whole says that isn't backed up by the Pacific fleet in the South China Sea, let alone anything a single state who just got ripped off by a Taiwanese company.
China wants to be THE GLOBAL SUPERPOWER. They will do it their way and use either economic abilities or physical abilities to do so. They view the ethnic cleansing they are doing as the cost of maintaining order and control. Short of invasion, its not going to stop.
They don't view it as us helping fix their house. We are more the snobby neighbor from the rich district attempting to tell them they don't belong on our block and to stay out.
They are not neigbors. They are a rising and increasingly hostile power who views all of Asia as their manifest destiny the same way they US viewed the new world.
Progress towards bringing these people down needs to start somewhere. Everything starts one step at a time, so I thought about what I could do to raise awareness about the issue and came up with the idea of getting in contact with elected officials. This would, by my thought, get the governor thinking about it. If he thinks about and decides to speak out then news would report that and talk more about it. That gets it to more people, with more people thinking about it. The more people thinking about it the greater the chance that someone in a position to do something about it would make a change. I don't know how to fix it myself, but I do know how to increase awareness at least a little. So that's what I'm trying, and I would like your help because if I can do it I think anyone can.

As an intelligent person I'm sure you can relate to the idea of multitasking. It wouldn't hurt him to speak up about the issue, and he can spin it as a politician as being more for human rights and against China. This could garner support for him from anti-China and pro-Human rights groups, and help secure more votes for re-election and thus having a stronger political position. Its a win-win.
As a current, and intelligent person I fully digested the studies that showed multitasking to be the leading cause of errors.
Okay. If you'd like to explain more I'm curious to know more about what you think on multi-tasking so we can come to a deeper understanding, because I don't fully understand yet.
