Think about it, teammate gets sniped or ar, and you let him have a scar or mythic weapon, instead of the risk of him dying, he can just drop it for you and now your Oppenheimer have to go up against another person with grapple or GL instead of rn where they target the GL persona, take him out , and now it’s a 2v3 and you’ve got persona guns

I've done this in the past in endgames where if I knew I wouldn't be revived I would just leave match so my teammates could get my loot. This idea is just doing that but with the possibility of getting revived if early game as well.

Maybe it shouldn’t be anything, it’s perfect as is. Don’t get dropped or face the consequences. Stg this is the most uncompetitive “competitive” sub I’ve ever seen with shit ideas like this 🙄🙄

Like I said this has been discussed multiple times here. On most sub Reddit’s they suggest you search your topic before posting. Honestly I’m too lazy to search for you because I disagree. I would say the majority of the other threads all has solid reasoning tho.

People seem to forget that fortnite copies everyone. Reboot vans, enemy/item ping system, both huge parts of the game now but never existed till Apex came out.

Wtf do you mean. People have been banned for leaving right before players kill them in tourneys to stop other players from getting points. You leaving before a shakedown takes away something the other team earned by nocking you and pushing your team away from you. Im not saying it should be bannable, but it is cheating. Part of playing the game is playing fairly and finishing your matches

Then don’t get knocked... if the other team knocks one of your teammates and you have to bail so you don’t also die while they push why should you get the loot from your knocked teammate before the other team can push over and finish him.

My opinion but I've never seen a dude in a movie/show/real life not take something from his buddy who's shot and needs to be left behind. I think it's a thing honestly that needs to be changed in all battle royales if they aim to be realistic, but I know fortnite doesn't go for realisticness.

I think that rather than dropping items while knocked, you should just be able to give up so you die but you dont have to leave the game

Game is plenty fast enough. You can easily box a knocked player and finish them in like two seconds with skill.

So for example if you get sniped with the grapple/GL instead of being able to drop your weapons/choose to die and your teammate gets your reboot and runs away there is a trade off where the opponent gets the kill but you cannot be rebooted for the rest of the game.
Would also be good endgame when you get knocked in zone and can just choose to die and your teammate gets your loot which I think most people want to see

No. I understand this is an anti-thirsting measure first but even if you're good enough to take out the opposing team after they eliminate your teammates you should still have to deal with the consequences of it.

Nah. There should he a “giveup feature” though. Like in exchange for your loot you die. But you can still be rebooted. Beats leaving the game

Defeats the point of getting picks, you should have opportunity to be rewarded for the kills not arrive at your knock and receive no benefit.
You would still get 50 health/shield, 150 mats and the person that gets his loot would have to leave his so ithink you would still get rewarded
Not enough in my opinion, especially say midgame or early game where you need to improve load out or mats more significantly. Endgame 150 mat refresh still is pretty weak for the risk.

this logic is so flawed. what if you knock 1 of 3 from long distance, and that guy (knocked) drops grappler and/or shockwave lol. youre not catching the other guys unless you have 3 pads and a teleportation device.
