Lonzo Ball?

I know this is far fetched, but what do you think of the possibility of getting Lonzo? Apparently people on the Pelicans thought he gave up during bubble games and didn’t give enough effort. If this is enough to cause tensions we can try to get him via sign and trade. What do you guys think of this information?

No, not because he's not good. But because we shouldn't be giving up assets for a guy like him

If we want Lonzo we can just draft Haliburton. Same kind of player

Fans are putting way too much emphasis on these bubble games. He’s part of their future. I think he has a chance to be a better than average starter, but I don’t see star quality

We already have French Lonzo Ball /s

There's people in this sub that believe it. If you point out he hasn't progressed on offense they throw a temper tantrum

I literally can't remember a single fast break Frank has run.

Casual he’s done it plenty of times

Edit: honestly being a casual probably saves you a lot of pain

I would only be down to trade the clippers 1st or a 2nd.

The idea of Lonzo Ball is way more than what you'll actually get. Unless its a cheap 1 year "show me" contract then hes noy worth much.

I'm with ya u/mgfowler I know it's an unpopular opinion.

Why does no one like the idea he’s like frank but better lol

lol. They will come around in 6 months like usual and all like him. You wouldn't believe the shit I went thru on here wanting FVV and Hali which are now popular additions to the squad. This new pilling on mindset on social media is just sad.

He probably won't ever be a start but the Pels are not giving him up for nothing. He fits well with Zion, it's not Ball's fault Zion couldn't put the gumbo down during the break. I wouldn't put too much stock into the bubble games

Yes, he had a bad bubble, but he was having a great season before the shutdown. NOLA would be dumb as shit to get rid of him right now unless they're getting a lot. And if you're trading him, he immediately has a cap hold of 14.5 million iirc. So you gotta decide immediately what you're gonna do with him. I think these questions are easy for NOLA, they have no reason not to bring him back one more year. But if there is enough going on behind the scenes for them to trade one of the key components of the AD trade after just one year, then you really have to question trading for him. If he's that bad, he'll be an UFA soon enough.

Also I do not understand the fascination this sub has with the Ball brothers.

Last year it was kyrie and Kevin and now it’s Lonzo and lamelo ball what a fall from grace LOL

I'd rather have Dennis Schroder honestly.

Dude I do not want Lonzo. Man can pass well but he rlly doesn’t pass much. Takes way too many shots to fit in w our team. His defense would be nice tho lol.

We don't know what kind of team we have yet before we talk about who fits and who doesn't.

3
Fast_Door:Breen2: Mike Breen•

Considering our entire starting lineup can’t shoot at least Lamelo is better and rawer than his bro, who shat the bed hard in the bubble.

Who cares about the bubble? These guys are playing after four months off and Zion has been in and out of the lineup. It's hard to put much stock in these games especially for teams who by all rights wouldn't be in the playoffs anyway. The Knicks are still very much a team in construction so talking about fit when we have so many fungible parts plus a whole new FO is pointless right now.

In general I don’t want to give up assets for a player like Lonzo. And players play well in the bubble too so it’s not like the bubble is exclusively hurtful to players’ stats
