Damn it’s looks hurt. Take it to a bike shop to get checked tho
Can’t tell from your photos. I think maybe your camera is toast.
All that said, sorry for your troubles and hope things turn out for the better.
camera is okay its just impossible to it to focus on the crack for whatever reason. thanks for the thoughts. majorly crushed as well bc i just put $400 of brand new maintenance into the bike before this all happened. fortunately everything besides on the frame is basically brand new so if i replace that then i guess ill just have a new bike!
just checking to make sure i need a new frame. crashed on Lookout mtn going 35mph a few weeks ago and didnt find and damage but when i was lubing my chain yesterday i saw this. thanks!!
impossible to tell from these photos. what happened? is it cracked?
it looks like a hairline crack running down the seat tube. i tried to photograph it the best i could. the third picture seems to show it the best but black paint makes it hard to show
Most carbon frames shave a lifetime warranty don't they
sadly i am the second owner

thanks!!! i think im going to take a couple months to get back into running save up for a state undefeated road frameset
It's cracked, don't ride it. Only a shop that specializes in carbon repair can tell you what it will take to fix, and how much it will cost. Your local run of the mill bike shop will give you some advice that you should completely ignore if they don't repair carbon components.
If the seat tube cracked, you should probably have the whole frame ultra sound checked to make sure the fork and other tubes aren't also compromised.
thanks. thats what i assumed. i guess im happy i got away with a second mt evans summit before even realizing anything was wrong. i think im going to just hang up the road bike until i can buy a new frame as thanks to the pandemic ive been out of work and dont have the money to replace/repair it anytime soon. thanks for the confirmation!
