Why did Ymir's pure titan already look like her jaw titan form even before she ate Marcel?

As she never trained to be a titan before becoming one of the 9, that may have contributed to her form. Kind of like how Armin's Colossal is more skinny than Bert's. Falco and Galliard had both trained to inherit some titan so when they did gain the powers Ymir made their titan forms well suited for them. But that's just my theory and I'm not expert

Good question, we could discuss possibilities from the story all day long but in reality the most likely answer is its probably just an oversight by the writer. Hes coming up with this issue by issue and the next jaw titan after ymir actually LOOKS like something that would be called a jaw titan and there is no way his pure titan form looks like that.
