In It for the Money - so many bands on one album
This occurred to me years ago while listening to In It for the Money ... it seems like, for every song on the album pretty much, they adopted the sound of a different band. Here's an exercise ... while listening to Richard III, keep Smashing Pumpkins in mind. While listening to Pumping on Your Stereo, keep Mick Jagger and the Stones in mind. Listening to Alright, think Supertramp, Caught by the Fuzz think The Toy Dolls, Going Out think of Oasis / Beatles. And so on. Tell me what you think.
