Does HLL delay distant sounds?

In real life bullets normally travel faster than the speed of sound.

So if someone shoots at you, you first hear the crack of the bullet going by you, then you hear the thump of their rifle.

Does HLL accurately simulate this, or do sound effects travel instantly, so you'd hear the rifle first, then the bullet crack?

This is def in the game for distant explosions now but not sure if it’s there for gunfire yet

I was hoping sound overhaul which they added with U7 would include that, however its still instant.

Its 2020 man and we still dont have many things, that would make the game most immersive, yet here we are.

The problem is that the rounds are modified hitscan. All lead and drop is simulated, so programming the audio to have a delay would be sort of challenging since there isn’t a projectile to base it off of. They will probably change it at some point but I think it’s more than likely lower on their list of priorities

It’s not modified hitscan anymore, it’s been using ballistics since update 6 for all weapons

okay, that would explain a lot. I was having a heck of a time hearing where incoming shots were coming from.
