Which ones are you killing? The low hp ones have a shit drop rate even on task.

Liverworts and snagglers are 1/2k, snares are 1/2.5k, Lampens are 1/4k

I started feeling this at around 2.5k kc and I switched from snagglers to liverworts because meleeing them was a lot faster... stopped being depressed about it because I met a few irons at 4.5k and 6k for boots... but i got them at 3152.
Goodluck and if you aren’t already I would suggest meleeing liverworts with vamp and ripper demon, you shred through the tasks!
