While she’s a verified FN, I understand the Gisele-is-a-D camp too, because she doesn’t look particularly wide around the shoulders and has such a long vertical. However, I think she really does have width; it just comes from her ribcage and legs, not shoulders. Adut Akech has wider shoulders, but her line is sleek and narrow and sharp in spite of that—she strikes me as a D overall, while Gisele exudes the impression of a FN despite not having one of the hallmark features.

Long vertical is an FN trait as much as it is a D trait? I am seeing growing misconceptions on what makes an FN. you also don’t need to be “wide” to be FN, that’s something that this sub has made up.

? Both of those things came from Metamorphosis. FNs are consistently described as broad and implied to potentially be taller than Ds. However, people really disliked hearing that they were “broad” (understandably) so the sub shifted to using “width” because it’s a little more neutral.

Dramatic: Moderate to tall

Flamboyant Natural: Moderate to very tall

Bone structure: Large and angular with blunt edges. Broad and square bones. Wide shoulders. Long arms and legs. Large hands and feet (usually somewhat wide, but they may also be narrow, with long fingers and toes). Broad or prominent facial contours (nose, cheeks, jaw - blunt, not sharp).

Body type: Straight and angular (broad, not sharp). Arms and legs tend toward musculature. Bust and hips tend to be flat or straight (unless very overweight).

Sorry, I completely misinterpreted you! I thought you implied that Ds have a longer vertical than FN in your original comment!

When you said “she doesn’t seem particularly wide and has such a long vertical” i thought you meant that wide is an FN trait and a not-so-long vertical is an FN trait too. Sorry again.

Oh, no worries! On re-reading my comment I totally see how that could be misinterpreted. As a fellow FN I’m also tired of all the misinformation going around, I appreciate that you took the time to try to correct what looked like more of it. :)

Adut is SD she is just super thin you can still see some roundness in her breasts and hips though also her torso is short I think Ds usually have longer torsos her face also has very little sharpness so that too much sharpness in clothing looks off on her, Gisele is FN she isn’t wide but her bones are blunt rather than sleek you can see it in her shoulders and her breasts are far apart which I find is common in naturals.

Gisele has a really straight shape (especially from how little she weighed as an active runway model) and I think that gives her the leeway to rock D lines.

But, within her own body there's a

  • thicker waist
  • wider ribcage
  • wider hips
  • Wider/blunter shoulders (compare to Keira Knightley, Olivia Culpo, Lauren Bacall, etc.)
  • Overall muscularness (compare to underweight keira knightley though Gisele's arms here scare me just as much)
  • a slightly shorter (but still long) vertical commonly associated with FNs

so I can understand why she's FN and not D. There's no correlation between the traditional body types (ruler, pear, hourglass, etc.) and the kibbe types so there are going to be straighter or more hourglass/pear etc. examples for each type. For taller people especially we get caught up in how much variation there can be but Kibbe's philosophy seems to be that a long vertical (and width if applicable) overrules everything else and that's why there are so few "tall" types.

Yup. I think Gisele is a good example of how, within an ID, the way the undercurrent can manifest itself really varies.

To me, someone like Cindy Crawford gets their "Dramatic undercurrent" almost solely in height--if she were scaled down to 5'6 with the same proportions, she'd just look like a pure Natural.

Gisele's Dramatic undercurrent is more dispersed throughout her body. But when you see her beside, say, Kate Moss, imo there's also an all around sturdiness there that you just aren't going to see in a pure Dramatic.

I have gisele’s body type if she gained like 20kg lmao

Or maybe a FN with Dramatic essense or the other way round :)

There is no such thing as “dramatic essence” or “FN essence”.

Essences are from a different system. I don’t know why you’ve been downvoted, you’re absolutely right that they don’t exist in Kibbe.

Thank you!

Yes there is :)

That’s definitely one of Giseles heavier pictures and Adut‘s dimensions are extreme even within her own ethnicity which was never considered in the system to begin with. 90% of dramatics will look closer to Ns or Cs in comparison.
