First Time Truck Owner and I Chose a Frontier - 2019 SV CC RWD @ 12k for $22,600
Yesterday, I posted a request for advice on a used 2014 Pro-4X with 69k miles at $21,500. I received a lot of helpful input and opinions from the sub, which I appreciate. To be honest, I've really wanted to be in a truck for a while. Its embarrassing to admit but I drove a 2005 Hyundai Accent until last year when I made the stupid mistake of buying a used 2017 Hyundai Veloster. As a 30+ grown ass man I stayed with a small vehicle just because I knew it would be cheaper and [insert dumb reason].
Flash forward to 2020 and I'm constantly wishing I hadn't stuck with a dumb small car. I drove my first go-cart for 14 years and certainly earned my stripes with a personally financed vehicle that lasted a decent amount of time. My wife and I hunt, camp, and regularly float rivers in my state. And I find myself wondering why we don't have a better tool for enjoying the outdoors and getting shit done when we need to move things, clean out larger items, or pickup stuff like the couch we just bought this last weekend.
So after the unsuccessful offer on the Pro-4X (that I really didn't need), I decided to stop by the Nissan dealership. I made them a very simple request. I told them I had $10,000 in cash and a 2017 Veloster with 33,000 miles I didn't want, and if they could get me in a used pre-2020 Frontier I'd take it. All they had was a 2019 SV V6 CC RWD with 12,322 miles on it listed around $24,500.
I test drove the car, pulled the Carfax, looked it over, and was immediately in love with the simplicity and feel. They got me close to my cash number with the offer on my trade-in and by putting the price at $22,600. I asked them to throw in a $300 Nissan bed tent (not sure if these are even any good) and they accepted. So I'll share a pic and quick review of that tent when we try it out in September.
That is all. Sorry for my long post but I figured I owed it to the sub after my request yesterday. I appreciated the help. But mostly I'm just glad this affordable mid-sized truck exists for dudes like me.
TL;DR Yesterday, I bought my first truck ever and it is a 2019 Frontier SV V6 CC RWD @ 12k for $22,600.

Good deal!
Seriously...get by the dealership and see if they’ll order you in the fog lights at dealer cost for you. You get factory fogs and a new turn-signal stalk with the integrated switch for the fogs. It’ll take you 30 minutes to install them and you’ll use them all the time.
