GPU intensive applications for one lol, shitty screen even if you manage to jury rig a 1080p IPS screen in one, more modern CPU that sips rather than gulps power, USB 3.X, and numerous other things. I have a T420 next to me right now so don’t try and pretend it even holds a candle to a good modern laptop.
Lowkey would buy a T420 if it was possible to use modern hardware in conjunction with the chassis/keyboard.

It's fine with the i7 and 16 gigs. New hardware for the same price would be some shitty dual core and a magnetic drive.
