is it just me or is Metroid Prime Hunters stupid hard?

NO FLAIR YET

I'm trying (again) to give this game a fair shot because i really want to see it through to the end. but oh my god it is not making it easy for me, as every boss wipes the floor with me. the other hunters strafe and bunny hop around like they're esports pros, and the end level bosses take an eternity. i end up having to expose their weak point a good 6-8 times each fight.

like everyone else, I'm having trouble with the controls, but i feel like it shouldn't be THIS bad. i don't know why I'm only doing chip damage, and i hate how hard it is for me to move around during combat. I'm trying but for how many times I've been dying at this boss (the second security tower) i fell like i might not be able to win no matter how hard i try.

I never recalled it being unnaturally hard. I played that game beginning to end 7-8 times at least on dual mode controls, which are far less accurate than stylus.

Against hunters&guardians, use charged missiles since they should home in and hit for decent damage.

If you’re on the second tower, you should be able to continuously dodge its homing orbs by constantly running circles around the tower. I believe those orbs dropped health when expiring (or I’m thinking of the next big boss which definitely does drop health on the projectiles it shoots). Either way you should just outlast it by doing that. Save missiles for when it’s crystal is exposed.

You’ll get some pretty powerful weapons eventually, which will massively increase your damage, and make mincemeat of many enemies.

Use a guide if you have to. MPH singleplayer is very rough around the edges. It’s best finished as quickly as possible. The entire game was built around being a fun PvP deathmatch shooter anyway. The campaign in MPH is as tacked on as the multiplayer modes in many singleplayer games.

If nothing works out for you though, don’t be afraid to just stop playing. There’s nothing you’re missing out on in the singleplayer.

I beat it when I was a child so it can't be that bad.

As long as you don't use dual mode and you have a steady hand, you should be fine. I managed to do a no death run of this game. Its screws you over sometimes, such as instakill when you fall out the map, or the only difficult timer in the game (Dont know if youve encountered it yet), but you can always practice against bots if you host a multicard game and set em all as bots.

Yeah, I had a pretty hard time, but I played it almost entirely with Dual Mode, which is rather inferior for aiming

I seem to recall being able to customize the controls to some extent. I played it on my 3DS a few years ago. Which console and settings are you using?

i'm using the stylus mode on a new 3DS but trying to strafe and shoot is a freaking nightmare.

Are you using the stylus? It takes a bit of getting used to but it's easily the best way to play the game.

i am. i hate that it requires such precise aiming because trying to zip around while keeping the target centered is pure ass.
