“Seeds of a king..” (Spoilers)

Spoiler

Throughout the webtoon we constantly hear this phrase. Jahad on the hidden floor says he was born with the seeds of a king and Wangnan was also told on the hidden floor he has the seeds of a king in him. It’s quite likely Bam also has it.

What is the “Seed of a king”? I think it’s more a metaphor for a quality or power in a person which makes them suited to be a king. Similar to something like Conquerors Haki in One Piece.

I think that V also possessed the seed of a king alongside Jahad. Eduan mentions that V was suited to be a king because he was very close to ordinary people unlike Jahad. It’s also said that Jahad and V fought a lot and I believe that it was in their destiny to eventually compete for the title of ‘King’. We don’t know the full story behind why the other great warriors sided with Jahad but ultimately, V lost and Jahad became the king.

I also believe that Bam has this quality for a few reasons. Firstly, he’s the protagonist. Secondly, at the workshop battle, Gustang mentions he can’t wait to see the power of the thorn ‘when it’s in the hands of an irregular‘. Gustang is an irregular too, alongside 9 other family heads and Urek Mazino. We know Gustang is an irregular and holds a grudge against Jahad, so why wouldn’t he take the thorns power for himself and kill Jahad? It’s not that he doesn’t want to, it’s more so because he can’t. He does not possess the “seed of a king” and therefore would not be able to use the thorns power.

Further to this, there have been many instances where people look at Bam and are reminded of Jahad; The guide So-oh mentions how standing with Bam is like standing in front of Jahad because she is not able to see the future when she is in Bams presence. Princess Maschenny also says that Bam reminds her of Jahad. A lot of people theorise that Bam is somehow Jahads son but I feel like the reason that people see Jahad in Bam is because they both possess the “seed of a king”. Hwaryun mentions to Evan that Bam is on his own path and it’s a path no navigator can create. She, or any guide, can’t see Bams future and it’s most likely a quality that people who possess the seed of a king have and it’s the same with Jahad.

These are just some thoughts of mine after reading the webtoon back a few times. What do you guys think?

Apparently "King" is also another name for an Axis in the TUS universe - so "Seeds of the King" maybe an indication of people who have the potential to awaken and become axises.

I mean, if “King” is a name for axis, then the seeds of a King would be the child of an Axis no?

I think that it's a plot point that will be explained later. Sorta like the Red Rings. Not enough details yet, but enough ideas to pead to theory. Could be why Jahad stopped climbing rather than continue on.

Don't forget that in order to use the Thorn it's not enough to be an Irregular, you also need a living ignition weapon as an ingredient
