FAQ and guide to the manga an anime

The aim of this post is to hopefully answer some of the questions people may have about Barakamon, an act as a bit of a guide to the series.

If there is anything wrong with my information please let me know an I will update it accordingly. Also, forgive the formatting as this is one of the few posts I have made like this!

1. Is the manga done?
   1. Yes. The manga finished with 134 chapters and 18 volumes, with the last chapter being published in December of 2018.
2. Can I read it online? 2. Yes. But, you will only find the first 57 chapters on Mangadex. Unfortunately there aren't any "safe" or "reliable" ways of reading the manga online. If you search for the manga online you will be able to find it, but be aware that the sites that have it available are well known for their volume of pop up ads.
3. Where can I buy the manga? 3. You can buy the manga via Yen Press in English, https://yenpress.com/9780316336086/barakamon-vol-1/.
4. What about the spin off, Handa kun? 4. If you didn't know there is a spin off series based on Handa when he was a student in high school, that takes place 6 years before the events of Barakamon. There were a total of 7 volumes published, that you can purchase via Yen Press, https://yenpress.com/9780316269186/handa-kun-vol-1/. You can find the manga online as well from the same sort of sites that you can find Barakamon on.
5. What about volume 18+1? 5. This is a collection of random, fun short stories that were published after the manga ended. You can find the book on Yen Press, https://yenpress.com/9781975313470/barakamon-vol-181/. Some sites have the volume listed as number 19, but the official title is 18+1.
6. Is the anime good? 6. Yes, give it a watch! It has some of the most wholesome and heart warming moments you will find in any anime. Plus, some great comedy an awesome characters! It is without a doubt worth your time. You can watch it via Funimation, https://www.funimation.com/shows/barakamon/.
7. What about Handa kun? 7. Yes! Although the setting and majority of the characters are different than Barakamon, it is also worth a watch. You can find it on Funimation as well, https://www.funimation.com/shows/handa-kun/?qid=6a8de220f27ff478.
8. Will there be a 2nd season? 8. As of the making of this post there has been NO news regarding a 2nd season. Will we get it? Only time will tell.
9. Where does the anime leave off in the manga? 8. Barakamon - The anime ends on chapter 52. There are some minor differences, but nothing that would require you to read the first 52 chapters, other than the manga being great! 8. Handa kun - The anime covers the entire manga. As is the case with Barakamon, there are some minor differences, but nothing that would require you to read the manga.

I believe this covers everything. If there is anything wrong, or you have any other questions, please let me know an I will update the post accordingly. Barakamon is an awesome manga an anime, and hopefully this post not only answers any questions you might have, but also gets you excited about this great series!
