[German] "Lisk: The bumpy road to the finished product" - BTCEcho.de

the conclusion sounds rather like "uncertain ending" than "happy end", but at least a surprisingly realistic and moderate self-assessment after this long time of "hype&hot air" imo.

The article paints a picture of a company that has a lot of experience in this market.

Lisk has learned from past mistakes and tries to convey a realistic picture of the developments. Unlike many other crypto companies. I think this gives a very promising picture for the future.

This article outlines clearly why I believe Lisk has the potential to become an important player in the industry.

Many regular companies that purchase software (rather than build it) do not rely on innovation but are very strongly industrialised, process driven and cost efficient, where operational excellence far outweighs innovation drive. When discussing solution roadmaps with software vendors an often voiced roadblock for not relying on blockchain software components yet is the decision on what blockchain and what blockchain company (quite ironicly when speaking of decentralisation) to rely on: will the blockchain of choice be future proof, reliable, affordable, .. will it meet the corporate security and process SLA standards, etc.. Wether the software or blockchain was the first to market or is the most innovative of them all is much less of a burden than for example the reliability or security.

With the sidechain solution model, in which the Lisk suite also offers the necessary building blocks to keep the complexity (thus risk) manageable, I very much think Lisk has a potential answer to a large part of the roadblocks we currently see in software decision and implementation tracks. A solid and very precisely designed product is for me exactly what is needed before real company adoption can happen.

I do believe that, next to a few major scope milestones, Lisk also still has a few important issues to adress, the current fee system (fixed transaction cost e.g.) and current dpos model (cartel risk e.g.) to name a few, before I see it potentially adopted by solution providers. If I remember correctly, addressing these issues is part of the current Lisk roadmap, lets hope the roadmap is followed up as currently presented.

For me the article very much confirms why Lisk is a platform to keep an eye on for the years to come. In my opinion the blockchain architecture does offer an answer to real world and real business problems. I'm curious and excited to see what future Lisk will have in this challenging and competitive industry.

Still have huge faith in this project as a concept and the ability of the now more matured team to deliver. Keep up the good work guys and let's get this platform completed and launched!

Excellent piece. All too often crypto articles are thin, carbon copies for page views. This one has substance. A refreshing read. Credit to Max for being forthright in this too. My only pedantic criticism is using the phrase "als finale Lösung", which seems odd.

Whether you're an ardent supporter, critic, or just learning about Lisk - Take some time to read and digest this article. It speaks volumes of the culture behind the scenes at Lisk.

Still think the CTO needs to go after being incompetent the last 3 years

Happy to read this. At least Lisk is not so honest to show the public about their development. I deeply wish Lisk will succeed soon! =D

For anyone who speaks German and understand this article it's very apparent that Lisk admits it was a huge scam that now tries to get "redemption" and "really start working".

Unbelievable how bold these people are. Wondering if the Bafin will investigate at some point and would not be surprised to have another Wire Card.

it's very apparent that Lisk admits it was a huge scam

Can you quote where this is in the article?

they say it was more hype than actual product in multiple instances and the overall consensus is that they underdelivered.

ffs, the project was forked from another project and their promises sold for an insane amount of money. Promises made, promises broken.

"At least they're honest" is by far the worst response to this lmao

Could I get a direct quote from the article on what you're referencing?

And especially:

„Wir sind damals in den Hype reingeraten. Das war wirklich crazy,“ erklärt Kordek. Nachdem die Welle allerdings nachgelassen hatte, erkannte er, dass wenig Reales hinter dem Hype steckte. (..) ‚Mehr abliefern, weniger reden‘ sei die neue Devise des Teams.
