Daedalus makes a maze game which protagonist programs cheats for

A few years ago I read this book about a girl who programs and in the world she lives in there is a maze game made by someone called Daedalus. Now I remember that she basically programs cheats for the people who play the game (the players have a single life and the game uses their brain print so they cant play again). There was also something to do with Daedalus' son's character being the person she programs and that there is no way to win the game at the center on the maze.

I think the main character's name was Kate and I remember she had an abusive relationship with her boyfriend (don't hold me to this tho). Oh and the cover of the book was green.

As a child this really screwed over my mind AND I CANT REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS CALLED.
