A bit of calm sunset paradise on the reservoir. Doesn’t feel like the middle of the city.

The reservoir is so much higher now that the dam refurbishment is done! Does it make for a nicer paddle when the water level is higher?
I was wondering why it seemed so high, didn’t realize it was because of the dam refurbishment. It is nice to toddle around in areas you normally couldn’t, but it does make for more hidden obstacles and pokey branches.
My spouse and I miss that; it has been just over two years since we've kayaked there :( There's always next year. Beautiful picture!
Plenty of time this year 🙂
Gorgeous.

I need a canoe/kayak. Missing out!
The canoe club rents them really cheap... at least last time I checked.
Absolutely! Canoe Club will rent non-members canoes on a first come basis (closest/easiest option), or you could rent a kayak from Sports Rent. Single day kayak rentals there are also first come first serve, so you want to show up at about 4pm the day before.
My wife got me one this year and it's amazing! However finding a kayak in calgary that was decent was like pulling teeth. Literally everyone seems to have wanted one this year haha.
