PS4 controller not working on PS3 games
I recently connected a DS4/PS4 controller to my PS3 and paired it via Bluetooth as well.
Upon launching God of War Ascension, the controller fails to function wirelessly. However, when connected via cable it works. Except for PS button, which I presume is needed to close the app and get to the XMB menu. I ended up hitting power button on the PS3 every time now.
Is this how DS4 controller works on PS3 , OR is this an issue that I can rectify?
Please advise.

Ah ...Plugged in, for the game or even when in XMB menu? And is PS button supposed to work?
The PS button allows the controller to connect to a ps4 only, so you have to keep it plugged in all the time for everything.

It's just that within the game, wireless doesn't work. And PS button never works; both in game and XMB menu.
