Have any of you been to the events where lots of vendors set up? I got some great recommendations for delivery from y'all (thank you!). I'm just curious on feedback about those events. Has anyone been scammed at an event with cbd? I would like to check out an event at some point in the future but not if they are full of scammers. There are somethings I would like to sample and not try to set up 5 different deliveries for so I thought maybe events could be the answer just to sample things. Opinions or recommendations of good events to check out would be much appreciated.

3yrs too late for quality events, most are trash and not worth attending.

Thank you! I thought that might the case since I didnt really see any mentions of it in the sub but figured it might be worth asking.

they were interesting/fun/novel for a while, but even they got tiresome to attend.

Fuckin cover charges to buy weed no thanks

Unfortunately these opinions are accurate. I had been trying to find a decent Pop Up for about 4-5 months before Covid hit.. I’ve had to try out each vendor and just pray it wasn’t bullshit.

From my experiences in 2018/2019, many were great experiences in terms of selection and vendors. Almost all of them allowed consumption inside the venue, so one could smoke the "gift" on the spot to be sure but only after the trade.

I stopped going to them mid-2019 after a fights broke out, vendors were throwing their jars of weed at each other, crashing through tables, and people stampeding out of any exit they could find. This became almost consistent at places I went to with friends who already suffer from anxiety. The $5 entry fee was never worth it anymore.

I made a hard-switch to Instagram and haven't looked back

Thank you for the insights. That does sound terrible in general and I have anxiety so will definitely be avoiding that scene. I'm using insta too with no issue. Like I said thought events might be worth it to sample different things but I will just sample my way through insta if need be.

They are still active and can be found on ig

I knew they were active, I was more curious if they were worth going to. By some of the responses it doesn't seem like they are.

Pop ups are cool cause you get to see what's out there and meet some people, smoke and chill but you have to be careful because some of the big ones do get raided and there's drama. Don't ever pay to get in, that's just ludicrous. @bilbobagginsdc on IG does a cool little small one that is chill. There used to be some nice ones at Listen Vision studios before lockdown.

Ok cool thanks I'll check out bilbo! What happens if one I go to gets raided? Like would I be arrested or are they the ones in trouble?

I've honestly never seen police arrest anyone, just break it up. If you are a visitor I doubt they can charge you with anything as long as you didn't get caught selling/buying or have more than 2 zips on you.

I got scammed by Budibles Events/CML into buying a 1/4 of CBD flower and some "Rove" carts. Flower didn't get me high and both carts broke.
