Yeeeah no. Twilight is and always has been wish fulfillment for teenage girls. There's nothing wrong with indulging in that if it's your thing, but let's not pretend they were particularly mature or taught anything close to healthy life lessons. I've read all of them (god help me), and there's some outright awful lessons to take away if you're young and don't know any better.

First twilight movie is cozy and a good watch. People who say otherwise are very often jaded mid-twenty somethings who, for some reason, still have an axe to grind with tween girls who wanted to watch a movie about a tween girl.

Agreed. Plus, it has a unique look, great soundtrack and is a very faithful adaptation. Now, that last part is not necessarily enough if you believe an adaptation should IMPROVE on the source material, but it’s up to you. I know that it GLORIFIES ABUSE but like... compared to any other media? Did “Twilight” REALLY deserve as much hate as it got?
