Am I missing something about unlocks

I just beat the 3rd manager and haven’t even gotten enough faith to unlock the 1st character on the 1st unlock board.

Unless I’m missing something, it seems like the game punishes you for doing well. Or rather, there’s no way to more quickly unlock items by playing well instead if not well, and it’s likely I’ll beat the game before I unlock even half of the unlock trees.

Am I missing something or is boss kills the only way to get faith, and do you only get one each time?

I had it all beat by the middle of second skill tree. Very disappointing.

And to your question yes. You only get one at a time even on the hardest difficulty. They’ve only just released a patch for PS4 so it’s gonna take them about 6 months to release another update

Is there a way to get a refund on the ps4 like steam (within 2 weeks or whatever)?

I think you get a few hours to refund on console if you literally just bought it

Recent update on PC makes bosses drop 2 faith gems each, but other than that, yes, there's no way to get more.. It's a roguelike. They're grindy.

I know what you mean. It just seems so strangely balanced. in Isaac for instance, it’s imo too hard to just go through and unlock stuff quickly. And with gungeon, it’s again imo too hard but also you get increased currency for later bosses. Having 100% the original Isaac and nearly 100% gungeon, it never felt like grinding. It was just trying to win.

I appreciate the info! But I’m gonna put this one down for a while. Maybe come back after it’s developed more.

Yeah, I've moved to Gungeon temporarily until they add some more content because I just don't have the patience to keep grinding just to unlock items I'll never see anyways.

This fucking game expects me to complete it 3 times just to be able to unlock something on the skill tree that I don’t even want. I’ve deleted this piece of shit game for good, you should too
