Do you guys feel like pantheon is going to get nerfed in the near future?
He seems to be a very common pick in the chinese ladder right now, and im assuming many teams will try to play him at worlds as a support.
While he does terrible in mid,jg and top, i feel like his high elo\proplay presence will get him nerfed because of support panth.

Honestly, yeah. Playing him support/bot feels fun but also OP into some matchups and it’s only fun for me lol.
I interpreted riots response as “we don’t like seeing Panth support, it’s ruining peoples fun”, when they said something like “we’re aware of some feels bad stuff with Pantheon rn” ... so I wouldn’t be surprised if he got nerfed for his supp.
His Mid is good but the play% is way lower in High Elo and the data might not be enough to extrapolate whether or not it’s nerf worthy.
At this rate im expecting a nerf with no compensation and he will be forgotten for quite some time, he seems like a menace to to balance.
No way they would nerf him without some sort of compensation buff rn. Probably could try to change numbers to push him back top (but fail in the process ;_;)

Honestly? I hope they do nerf him. That way they'll have to address the state he is in.

Oh yeah, nerf an underplayed top lane former assassin that is now a mediocre support/mid. Hahaha, good one. He's meant for top/mid. If anything he deserves hella buffs and another rework.
This bad mid myth needs to stop. He has had a higher win rate mid then support for the last 4 patches and even before that his mid winrate was above 50%.
Mid Pantheon is not a troll pick by any means. You just need to play well early game.
Which division and what’s the pickrate?
Last I checked his support was 75% of his pickrate, the rest divided between top/mid/jg — and the winrate was either the same or lower for Plat and Plat+. I don’t think he’s a troll pick either but I don’t think he’s a good blind pick mid, I think he’s really good as a counter to a few champs mid, reflected by his pick% being 1 in 75 games give or take.
I think you could play it into more than just a few champs. Panth kill pressure is so high. This is valuable. Even if you can't get a kill, you can easily get a lead by always having prio for scuttles and what not.
Tbh it seems almost the same as Pyke mid but slightly different. There is a challenger Pyke mid main otp rn. And a few others in challenger/masters also play it
