[troubleshooting] Power for a second, then nothing

I have been working on my first build, and have used you for much of my questions, and got everything working and was ready to show off my complete build when power died on me. I installed windows, installed some updates, restarted my computer to boot the windows disk again through bios when it died. I turn on the power and I get the led on the motherboard to go off so it has power, but when I click power, the fans turn on for a second, and the front fan which has an led flashes the light then goes dead. I'm asking for help because everything was going perfectly and then it just stopped and I have no idea why.

If this helps anyone, my computer started up and is running, but I get 1 long beep followed by 3 short beeps and I have a red led that stays lit next to the graphics card. I have a feeling it may be the graphics card, but everything was working fine a short time ago.

Awesome, you have a beep code. Now check your motherboard manual or online for the beep codes for your motherboard.

Specifically, beep code meanings are dependent on what BIOS you are running.

Im looking online for information on what the beep codes mean for the sabertooth p67, but I can't find it online or in the user manual. Is there a key word im missing when looking it up, or is it just called beep codes

Also, I was trying to make the bios load up the windows disk, could there be a chance I screwed up the bios since this is my first time and now its not loading correctly?

1.4.2.2 Graphics card issue: Beep (1 long 3 short)

A. Clean the Golden Finger of graphics card

B. Clean the graphics card slots

C. Try to test the onboard graphics card if there is onboard VGA integrated

D. If convenience, please change different graphic cards to test again

From http://support.asus.com/Troubleshooting/detail.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=1&m=Sabertooth%20P67&s=39&hashedid=ZYgjt71bzlh62Zk9&os=&no=978

Basically you are correct, it's a video card issue. Make sure it is fully seated in the slot and the extra power cables are securely attached.

So I did a CMOS reset as well as cleaned the slot and the golden finger and no good. Should I return the graphics card? I still have a few days left to do it, it seems odd that the graphics card would work and then suddenly not. I will be honest, I did at one point think I smelled smoke before the computer had its issues, which Im sure isnt a good thing. Is there a possibility that the graphics card just died? I mean, everything else is getting power and despite what I do, the VGA led stays red and I get the same beeps
