Does any else have huge battery drain when their app is idle? Is it because the location is always active?

Yes. When I started I was told it would do so. I put mine on the charger when I’m in the car. I use an iBolt mount with the cable built in so I just have to stick in on the mount an it attaches to the wired charger. I would use a wireless charger but I like to hard wire CarPlay.

Yes mine is awful- I have an older iPhone and run both Doordash and grubhub. I have it on the charger whenever I’m in the car

For some reason they transmit a lot of data. Dont know wtf they are doing. Have suspected they covertly hijack your microphone and listen in. Heard stories that seem to confirm this

Postmates is the worst on my battery and they log you off at like 15% too

My iPhone XR drains battery with DD / GH. iirc it's because they're tracking you the entire time you're using the app. And I use another app doing the same thing to track miles. I couldn't do more than a couple hours without a charger

I had an iPhone 7 and it could barely keep up because of running 3 apps with location on. Upgraded to iPhone 11 which lasts a lot longer but I still use a stand with a wireless charger built in to keep running

I realized early on that I need to be sure I have my car charger if doing GH.

My battery life is terrible, between GH and UE, I lose about 35% an hour from just waiting.
