They can add this but not a bind to toggle 2x zoom optics

Fun fact, point shooting is bound to a toggle now

So I can have NVGs on with point shooting equipped but choose not to point shoot? I'd love for point shooting to automatically turn off when I turn my laser off but manual is better than nothing.

Yeah, they reworked the point shooting mechanic such that you need a laser and a grip to use it regardless of NVGs or not, and both are independently toggleable.

This grip thing sounds confusing. I suppose I'll understand when I get back to my computer and can see for myself what is going on.

I think that has more to do with it messing with the balancing of the game, less of a technical inability to make it happen. I do wish they would've just chosen different models of optics for 2x though, because I agree it's kinda weird.

Yeah that was Mikee's explaination against toggleable 2x sights, but on the other hand they're using the model that they have currently because they're out of Ins2014 (at least the 2x red dot).

More news from the CTE, the bind for toggling optics to different zoom is in the settings, as well as the tool tips for toggling for the 2x optics. The animation is also there, but its janky and doesn't actually change the zoom.

I hate the new grips because my characters fingers so all over the place (completely literally) and polygon glitches make me feel sick

You might need an optic, but idk

Have you seen the Famas with an ir/regular flashlight? It's perpendicular to the gun and shines uselessly to the left, pretty funny
