whaddya mean, less beautiful side? those massive color route signs they paint on the road are so beautiful.
Great at nighttime! Such a beautiful glare!
....when you remember to turn your headlights on, grandpa?
I got bad eyesight at night. Only 23 with grandpa eyes :(
That stinks. :(
Do you really see glare off those? I’ve never noticed glare.
Next time you see Glare. Tell her I miss her and that I’ll write soon.
Will do buddy She misses you terribly
Man this area could use some highway caps. The sound end always feels like it’s cut off by a moat.
There will be caps at the Front Street, High Street, and 3rd Street bridges. They'll all probably just be green caps (similar to Long Street over 71) rather than commercial caps like the one on High over 670, but that's certainly better than the barebones highway bridges that are there now.
It would be great if they could have capped the entire highway, rather than just at a few of the bridges, but the cost would have been too high.
What is a highway cap?
It’s essentially a very wide bridge that covers highway trenches like this one. They can have buildings on them, like at high street over 670, or mini park space. But the goal is at street level to make the space feel connected, like there’s no giant trench there at all.
Thank you
That spot where the divider breaks in the middle is a hiding spot for a speed trap. Fucker got me a couple weeks ago.
Dont speed and you wont get a ticket
You're not wrong. I felt like i was just keeping up with traffic though
If you lived here you'd be home now.
I hate driving on 70. You get in the wrong lane and you are screwed and there is always someone behind you wanting to drive 90. Did they just paint those graphics because I have never noticed them before. I don’t think they would be very helpful.
Wait, what? You mean you don’t find the madness of 71 beautiful?
Almost thought that was a light rail on the left side...
Plowing highways through established urban neighborhoods was a terrible idea
Terrible idea for who? Sure, maybe the poors and minorities get screwed over, but those in charge and with money only benefit. Keep those sweet, sweet General Motors bucks flowing in.
Classism in America? That never happens
