[Post-match thread] Newport County 3-1 Watford

Match Thread

Perica red card '88

3-1 Newport (Amond '65)

2-1 Watford (Penaranda pen '54)

2-0 Newport (Labadie '28)

1-0 Newport (Abrahams pen '18)

A footballing masterpiece we will remember for generations... Dominated by Newport. Very disappointingly despite the young squad. Murray missing in action yet again and a shame his replacement in Perica is now suspended for three games. Quietly impressed by Sinclair's showing. Luton next, hopefully we see a bit more from the boys on Saturday.

Ruining the Luton scout's report. Playing the long game. Ivic masterclass.

People saying Phillips should be in the team for his PasHuN need to watch that goal.

Sad thing is he was okay for quite a bit of the game, but that is just an unacceptable mistake to make.

He needs to go out on loan somewhere and play mens football.

Can't say I particularly cared about the outcome of this match, a sentiment that seemed to be shared with our players too. Such lazy football, no pressing, no urgency in defense. Murray doing nothing as usual, less said about Dawson the better.

How was Garner

Looked okay to me but quite hard to judge given how poor the team was overall.

Aye SofaScore has him as the third best player, is that fair?
