This post has been removed as almost all of the information provided in your post is covered in our sidebar post.

True, but it seems the most posters keep on asking the same questions. If your reason for removing my post is valid, you may then want to answer virtually every post in this subreddit with "we already covered that in the sidebar". Unfortunately, posters seem to ignore the advice of checking the sidebar first. Would you suggest that pointing them to the sidebar will promote the goal of getting more user engagement?

When I see posts that are answered in the sidebar, that is my response is to link them to the sidebar. Any time I see a post regarding quotes I point them to that post, and we have an automod that responds to load bearing wall questions and asbestos questions. Just a couple quick examples from this week alone:

Your complaint is that users are ignoring sidebar posts....what do you think your post is going to accomplish to help that? While we do want to promote more user engagement, we try and avoid this in the form of the same question topics being repeated.

We have 1.4 million subscribers, yes we are going to get a lot of the same questions popping up, which is why we tried to answer a lot of the more common questions in the sidebar.
