Returning Player, havent played in 7 years. Where do I even begin?

So I havent played in almost a decade and everything seems so different the highest toons I have are CR 110 Fire tank and a 105 lightning healer.

What is the next gear set and where do I buy it? All the wings in the watchtower have the same Armor from when I stopped playing.

I also noticed exobits just aren't a thing anymore? So how do sockets works now?

I have a ton of questions, is there like a guide or should I just make a new toon and relearn everything?

save your source marks as much as you can as well for artefact improvement

Don’t start over, look in your journal and see where you can go to do missions. Raising ur Cr shouldn’t be a problem. Exobits are used to level up ur augments, tho they give a pitiful amount of xp there is nothing else to do with them.

I would start a new character since you’re way behind. It would help you feel less confused

First thing you do is you find a league that will help you get to speed. It’s almost impossible to do old instances by q’ing up. Join a league

How would I go about that? Is there an app or a subreddit?

There’s a robot vendor near the center of the watchtower not too far away from John Constantine,I think his name is mechanical supply officer. He is ur go to guy for gear until u get ur CR to endgame levels. Once u get high enough u will have to go to a specific location with a specific gear vendor for the higher level content. But for now run everything in ur journal that is near ur level and the journal will lead u to content appropriate for ur CR and u will unlock more stuff to do..... to clarify the mechanical supply officer has gear that changes with ur CR and when u get gear to drop or buy gear from him that raises ur CR his inventory will change with more powerful gear.

U start by uninstalling the game. Seriously dont bother dude... the game may seem fun at first after that long gap of not playing but the nostalgia goes away quickly.

Disagree. I started a new character after not playing for a long time, and with all the new content I've had like 4 months of enjoyment. I'm about ready to move on to something else since I'm getting bored, but this is a great game to return to when you're in between titles.
