Alright, let's keep the ball tripping and move along to the second most requested drug in our poll of redditors: what many call the most powerful/potent psychedelic in the human history, DMT.
First synthesis: 1931 by Richard Maske. However, the drug and its analogues have been found in 8th century burial cites and it's use in South America likely dates back much further.
Intended use: No intended uses in the medical sense of the term. DMT's only use thus far is as an entheogen and recreational drug.
Current research: None.
Legality: Illegal across the board, with some documented religious exceptions in the US.
