A lot of practice with only one butt plug. I am impressed.

Thank you. Ha - I have been a long time lurker here and know the perils you speak of. I have yet to make a pen and it is becoming a problem that needs fixing.

Id say about 30% of my early stuff and quick projects somehow end up looking suspicious. I made a tape roll holder the other day that even had a dodgy end on it. It was a straight dowel with a rounded end how do you manage that?

Pens are great fun to start with but I couldn’t get into them.

I know exactly what you mean, it is a strange phenomenon that only turners have to deal with. I have heard that they sell well...

I almost bought a pen mandrel the other day but opted for some waxes, sealers and Yorky Grit that I was low on. I hope to pick up a second hand one at some stage.

I see WAY more than one . . .

I see you quickly graduated from parting tool to baby head modeling. Nicely done. That head will haunt my dreams...

Thank you. I do love a parting tool. Full confession - The head was made by my better half and often makes a cameo appearance.

As a point of (hopefully constructive) criticism, your shapes, even the ones that are approaching being bead-like, are lacking flowing curves and that tells me you need to put more time in on the traditional beads and coves practice:

I hear you and thanks for your input. I am working on it and hope to improve.
