Google Docs is better than Word or LaTeX

Yes, while it might be hard for the LaTeX fanboys to digest, I've had more success quickly typing up equations in Docs than in Word or LaTeX. While LaTeX will have you typing up many, many lines of code just to correctly format something you want, docs doesn't fight you while you are trying to do so. Also, Word's equation editor tends to fight me as well, so Docs ftw.

As someone who used to use Google Docs and discovered LaTeX afterwards, you, sir, are wrong. I get LaTeX bas a learning curve, but it's got such great documentation it's never a problem. Overall functionality is way better, and you can do more with less fudging, which I had to do constantly in Docs.

A+ unpopular opinion.

IDK man, formatting equations was too painful in LaTeX for me. And I code in Java so I guess that makes me a lazy ass.

I liked it because I found Google frustratingly limited. If I ever needed to add something in I'd have to basically reformat a whole page. LaTeX does take some getting used to though. I think it's worth it, but to each their own.

It's been many moons since I've had to bust out any Tex typesetting but to call Google Docs superior is a crime. Google docs can't even do 1/2 of the things Word does. Google Docs is garbage. What kind of programmer doesn't take the time to read the document or tutorials?

I agree because my school can't just delete everything on Google Docs if they need to change the accounts on the school computers.
