LG B7 panel replacement process and timeline.

This Post Again?

Hello guys,

Just wanted to post my experience and timeline about the panel replacement because of burn-in. Location - Kansas Bought the TV in June 2018. TV has 7800hours of use.(out of warranty period) Sept 8 - Called LG support and said I had burn-in, she asked me where and when I bought it. Sent me an email asking me to upload a couple pictures of burn-in, receipt and picture of full TV. I was told the case will be sent to OLED expert for evaluation. (no mention of warranty). Was told panel will be free but I would have to pay for the labor. Sept 9 - Uploaded the pictures. Sept 15 - called LG to check on the status. The case was apparently transferred to the expert After I called to check on the status. Sept 16 - got a call from local repair shop, they said they were going to place an order for the panel and replacement will be done after inspection. 3-5 days for parts to arrive. Sept 28 - called the repair shop to check on status, was told the parts were back ordered and did not arrive yet, but they said if normally the parts weren't shipped within 2 weeks they will usually cancel the parts order and provide a TV replacement. Sept 28 - got a call later the same day and said parts arrived and ready to set up appointment. Sept 29 - replaced the panel including a cable kit. Was told the new panel has a newer "board" attached to the panel.
