EX-KGB chutiya who ran off to the west after 'whistleblowing' says shit like this to save his ass
This video is boring and predictable.
Cope ?
No
I've seen this before, but I've never seen an analysis from a plausibility/accuracy perspective. As mentioned the interviewer is super-suspect, but also the material makes the KGB sound a bit too much like Bond villains who knew they were working for the baddies.
Most importantly he references two campaigns - one in Vietnam, one in India, to apparently execute pro-Soviet journalists, although it's not clear if he's saying whether the Indian incident was a plan or actual event. Is there any record that such a thing actually occurred? I can't find any. After the fall of the Soviet Union this easily could've been revealed, but as far as I can tell there's still no evidence of it.
There was a North Vietnamese massacre at Hue but there's no evidence of the targeting of pro-Soviet journalists claimed.
Don Oberdorfer spent five days in late 1969 with Paul Vogle, an American professor of English at Huế University, to go through Huế to interview witnesses of the occupation. Oberdorfer classified all the killings into two categories: the planned execution of government officials and their families, political and civil servants, and collaborators with Americans, and those civilians not connected to the government who ran from questioning, who spoke harshly about the occupation, or who the occupiers believed "displayed a bad attitude" towards the occupiers.
In other words, it sounds like they went after obvious targets (the pro-American government and their allies) as well as anyone who showed resistance. Rather than the "kill them before they find out we're frauds" kind of evil mastermind stuff.
I don't think any part of his "story" can be verified.
And OP if you can then please do.
This article talks about him in depth.
Edit : And this guy also have co-authored a book with G. Edward Griffin, about same topic (evil soviet espionage),
And G. Edward is an American Far-right conspiracy theorist, and HIV/AIDS denialist and this puts a big dent on his credibility as well.
Cringe
