KOA Camping?

Question

I’m working on my build right now and I had friends recommend KOA campgrounds since I had never heard of it. Has anyone here tried them out? How Van friendly are they? The website didn’t give a lot of details.

TIA if you can provide any insight

It’s like an RV park, they’re everywhere and they have extended stay plans at most sites. I have stayed at a few both in cities and outside of National Parks. They are van friendly and have full hookups.

I like to stay at a KOA every once in a while for the hookups and good shower. Definitely van friendly.

KOA’s are pretty much the McDonalds of campgrounds. A BigMac is the same in NY and CA. They’re everywhere, some are better than others but you know what you’re gonna get when you go there: usually a level site, a choice from no hookups to full hookups, probably a swimming pool, laundry, small camp store, clean, and safe.

If you don’t need hook ups, some have just a parking lot you can stay in for like $10 -$15 a night depending on where you’re at.

Thanks. It’s a sprinter so I don’t need hookups. Do they provide anything besides a parking lot like WiFi or charging outlets? Just wondering if I should pay instead of stealth vanning it

Showers, laundry facilities (usually coin op), electrical up to 50A, sewage, and fresh water hookups. Fire pits, swing sets for the kids.

And the wifi is usually rather meh, since many using it at once.

Too expensive for me. Big no thank you. Everything is cheaper than KOA, even my old rent yuk yuk yuk

When traveling, I always stay at a KOA, because they all have bath houses.
