Literally everything on CPU Monkey is 100% unsubstantiated. They do not cite any kind of source for their numbers, anywhere, ever.
Why would anyone lie on the internet? Are you dumb or something?
AMD showed 631 score during Zen3 reveal. They're fake too?
I mean, a known score would be just about the easiest thing to copy, wouldn't it?
They don't post sources is true but what you're implying here isn't.
CPU monkey posted the Cinebench scores 1 week ago, on Oct 1st. The big thread here was removed but you can find articles reporting on it.
That's dumb
Where are you suggesting the not-already-known numbers actually came from, then?
And? They probably doctored the benchmark environment as best they could to get the highest score possible, likely ensuring nothing but the OS and the benchmark program were installed for minimal background processes.
Never believe official numbers, they always cherry pick for best possible outcomes.
There is a better card coming out in a couple weeks. This one doesn't match the rumors. It does match the rumors of the 6800
I don’t know why you’re being mass downvoted for posting AMD’s own numbers from their own presentation, lol.
I’ve been seeing the same thing all over here, the fan girls are salty that Zen 3 is a disappointment and instead of admitting it they’re shooting the messengers.
LMAO I got a downvote within 30 seconds of posting this.
How is Zen 3 a disappointment? Being able to finally compete with Intel gaming-wise along with strong productivity and efficiency is all anyone could've ever asked for.
You think zen3 is disappointing?
Most have been agreeing on this, yes; it's disappointing.
Performance per dollar it is.
CPU Monkey is renown for just making up numbers and chucking them on their website. There isn't enough salt in the ocean to take this with.
The scores for the 5950X and 5900X are inline with what AMD showed in the presentation.
[deleted]
In line with amd presentation. My 3900XT scored a 529 in single thread cb20 I had CRT set so I’m not sure if that limited my single core clocks either.
But that 5900X is almost exactly what AMD claimed (629 vs 631), so it might be pretty accurate.
It goes without saying that this might be fake and/or unreliable.
That being said, the scores seem in line with ones presented by AMD themselves.
Even if the scores are 5-10% lower, it would still be really impressive.
Full disclosure: these results are not to be taken as gospel, due to the various uncertainties.
That being said, the results seem to be in line with the R20 scores AMD presented themselves. Interestingly, they are all beating the 10900k handily in this benchmark. Assuming this to be true, I personally think it is pretty easy to defend the increase in MSRP pricing.
I'll defend Intel increasing prices by $50 if Rocket Lake beats Zen 3 in single core then. If not, we can always wait for Zen 4 for another $50 price hike, unless they pull a Bulldozer.
Why's everyone so salty about the price hike. They are great chips, and amd always drops prices pretty quickly
Price hike and cooler cut. Should have atleast a spire or prism.
Yeah I feel like people aren't paying attention; not only are they hiking price, but they're also not including stock coolers, which just further exacerbates the problem of paying more for less. At least before you could justify it because you're also getting a cooler with it. Now you don't even get that.
$50 amd hike is justified because they just beat Intel and emerged as “high end” instead of “budget” cpu. $50 will not be justified for Intel Rocket because they’ve been selling at premium price for years.
5600X for $300 isn't looking so bad if these are real.
A stock 3600 does around 474 for reference. 3600X does 492.
If this is accurate I'm guessing people will pony up to go from 3600 -> 5600X. Acceptance phase here we come.
So 5600x > 3700x?
Well yeah in general you're better off with 20% more IPC which benefits everything than 33% more cores that benefits very few workloads. (which at best would be only 10% faster than the CPU with 20% more IPC)
I'm not saying Zen 3 is a good value, but it will put Zen 2 Ryzen 7 in a strange position without a discount. Even the 3900X will only benefit to heavy content creators.
The 3700X has already dipped below the $300 mark so it'll be cheaper than the 5600X easily. That's a decent tradeoff if you don't need the best single core speed.
I got mine for $270 back in april
why is there a big jump from the 5800x to the 5900X?
cache?
It looks like a pretty steady increase from sku to sku, 11-14 points each time. Might be the increase in frequency? Each is 100mhz higher than the one below. As far as boost goes.

Zen 3 seems to actually scale well with frequency.
Cinebench is just one test though, Intel still leads in memory latency, that’s because of the Ryzen IO die. Still AMD should claim big win in productivity tests, small win in gaming, Intel is late even on the 14nm Rocket Lake, stuck on the same architecture since 2015, like a sitting duck. If you don’t improve for that long, competition is bound to overtake you. Glad to see competition and good pricing for more cores and more performance per core.
It is not the same architecture, it is a refined process node, which is the actual silicon. The architecture is the x86 instruction set that actually allows the silicon to compute.
Every Intel release is a different architecture on a 14nm transistor size, this correlates to the number of transistors, read: density, they can fit on a silicon die, or the actual wafer that does the computation.
So, each Intel release, since Broadwell has been a different x86 architecture constructed on a more and more refined 14nm lithography process.
All these Kabylake, coffee Lake, comet Lake are pretty much the same as Skylake with minor changes, Rocket Lake is a different arch. I see three distinct architectures for Intel’s 14nm, Broadwell( Haswell), Skylake, Rocket Lake. And Rocket Lake is running late again. Should have shipped by now but we will have to wait for March 2021.
Not like it matters. Rocket Lake is still another 14nm refresh. Their 10nm is still three years away.
10nm Alderlake is due 2021, if no delays. Alder Lake will take on 5nm Zen 4. We should have competition.
The entire stack breaks 600, that's nuts. If, and that's a big if, the performance gains translate across the board, that's huge.
I have an i5-6600 now and looking to upgrade. The 5600x results show a roughly 60% increase in single core performance. That's going to be amazing. Now these results might not be substantiated, but they line up with basic math going off the supposed 19% IPC increase, 4% clock increase against the current 3600x cinebench results.
Also, I'm planning a new build that will overclock. I might be looking at an 80% increase in single core performance compared to my 6600. That's based off the 3600x overclock cinebench scores. Holy shit!
Insane what else. Can 2020 bring.

Oh yes, the leaks are always real and 100% accurate!
That means I don't need to wait! I just buy it like last time! Nvidia does not lie when they say the RTX 3080 is twice faster than RTX 2080 Ti!
They said up to 2x faster than the 2080 (not the super to the Ti).
this is fake, 1 week ago they got results and they were different don't trust them.
They can be real in the end but they wrote random numbers 1 week ago so I don't trust anything from them
CPU monkey is a place holder
Weird seeing higher core count processors go faster in single thread
I'll believe it when I see it for myself
Poor rocket lake can't even break 600
There's zero proof of that
AMD wins on multithread performance...
"Multithreading doesn't matter, only singlethread."
AMD wins on singlethread performance...
"Singlethread is the past, nobody cares."
AMD wins on singlethread and multithread performance...
"Benchmarks don't matter."

But is is $50 more. How dare AMD!
/s
$50 if you were stupid enough to buy a 3600x even tho the 3600 is way better in perf/price metric.
If the 3600x was $400 would you be like wow $100 cheaper and better perf, all hail AMD
or you know you want best performance and can afford it?
Imagine Prosche subreddit with people complaining about price
It's justified for the premium cars they sell. Porsche doesn't sell low end cars and price hikes them.
Only 50 if you don't know how to add.
It is $100 no ifs or buts. Entry to Zen 3 is 50% higher than the entry to Zen 2.
What I'm hoping for (emphasis on the hoping part) is that the lower priced alternatives will be the same price as they were last gen (like a 5600 being the same price as a 3600), so that people who want slightly better performance can spend their extra money while people who care about value would be able to save money (a win-win for types of consumers). Don't take this as official though, I don't think that there are even any leaks regarding this lol.
Or if you take outgoing gen lower and mid end part and compare to incoming gen high end part...
Whaaaaa
Adding is easy. Figuring out where the adding is coming from is the difficult part for some.
Take out the best bang for the buck, raise 50 all round, cut cooling. Profit. fans will parrot only 50 dollars!
I mean we have literally lost 20% price to performance since last gen... (for the 6c). Even Turing had the decency to match the price/perf of the previous gen.
Yeah whose the dick saying so single threaded performance doesn't matter? Probably on some bad quality weed....
Edit: Oh shit!
That guy is the creator of that Ryzen overclocking tool.
If he's serious, he's a moron.
Who said that? And where?
In that same thread. I thought the reason Intel was better for gaming was BECAUSE of the single thread performance?
1usmus tweeted that aswell smh
i think Price/SingleThreadedPerformance is the new hot shit
I haven't seen anyone say any of those things around here. In fact AMD fanboys won't shut up about "taking Intel's single core crown".
I get 210ish on my 3600. Is that 5600X really getting 3x as much?
Maybe you're thinking Cinebench R15 instead of R20?
Yea idk. I just ran R20 again and got 436 so idk what was going on.
umm, 210 in R15 should translate to like 500 in R20, you should check your clocks during the r20 run
these score are in r20 if your cpu is getting that, you are severely down clocking
Hmmm. I’ll have to double check. I just have it running at factory settings.
what? no way yours only 200 ish
