Personally I’m getting a lot of renewed interest in this franchise all of a sudden. It’s been a while since I’ve played Odyssey and I started it up again last night and it really is a fun game, even with all its drawbacks. A new Viking variation of this sounds like a good time to me.

Im glad that they are making it smaller and a tighter experience, I love odyssey for the first 50 odd hours but just can't seem to finish the game, I get to focused on all the side things and burn out

Was just playing and I couldn’t agree more. Set a waypoint to the next story mission and what do you know, a cultist is in an encampment nearby so I spend a good 20-30 minutes battling him. Then another huge camp appears and I get sucked into completing that, then a bounty hunter comes around so I fight him. Then I see a synchronization point so I go out of my way to get to it. You know the drill.. it’s so easy to get sidetracked for hours and hours in this game and feel like you’re making zero progress.

Yeah exactly haha I started trying to check off every single item in a region before moving on and then you get sick of the whole thing

Yeah it's the very opposite of what happened with Watchdogs 1 lol
