Solution: I don't mind sharing my real birthday, but I take mine down for a 2 week period surrounding my birthday to avoid this bullshit.
Solution: I don't put my birthday on Facebook and completely avoid the "I don't really know your birthday" type well-wishers altogether. I don't remember most people's birthdays at all (my own included), so if I do remember, it's a meaningful gesture. I'd like to think it has the same significance from other people to me.
My friend's FB is doing something odd and is saying everyday is his birthday. He will always have attention.
I use FB birthday notifications as a reminder to delete people, actually. If we haven't had a substantial conversations since "friending" one another, then it's generally time to go.
If I did that, I wouldn't have any friends on FB. Then again, not a bad problem to have.
funny you say that, today's my birthday and i've been getting wall posts from the most random ass people
Happy birthday! My birthday is tomorrow. :D

Happy birthday! I mean that in a non-douchey Facebook way.

Today is my birthday too, I have been getting those wall posts as well. I do find it just a little bit funny that this happens, though.
Edit: I'm not sure if I should be flattered or offended by the act.
