"Neighborhood character" on the up and up. Assuming this will be a duplex and not just an expansion for the current owners. Spotted on 47th St. where a few more duplexes will hopefully soon break ground.

This was a forced remodel due to shitty zoning laws. They should of been able to demolish it entirely.
Is this Longfellow? Did they catch that shooter barricaded in the house nearby?
Helicopter is still circling and circling and circling.....
Jeez, same thing happened out here just yesterday. They finally caught him.
Where on 47th?

Bro, if you want to buy the air rights to the neighboring parcels you're free to make a offer.
When you buy a home, you buy that home, not the rights to have nothing around you change.

fucking horrifically awful
You're right about it being annoying when construction is happening next to you, but I think thats overstating it just a smidge :)
They are saying if you don’t fucking like it buy all your neighbors air rights so they can’t do it. Otherwise quit bitching. Your neighbor is increasing theirs and the neighborhoods property value. Maybe even creating a dwelling. Bitching about work that goes on during work hours says more about you than the noise the work makes.
what's horrifically awful specifically? the construction noise, the fact that it "looks like shit" or what?
