Can't warp to Kikolgallr galactic center

Question

I'm trying to warp from Kikolgallr to Eltiensleen. I've done the jumps from Euclid, system by system, so I know what to do - i.e., my hyperdrive is full, my engines are all repaired, I'm at the system closest to the core. Usually I have trouble selecting the core so I have to fiddle around to get the yellow highlight to show up so I can warp to the center.

However, this time it's different - the yellow highlight comes up and I can warp to the core most every time I try. But when the core is selected, even though there's a prompt saying "left click to warp" and I get the yellow highlight, nothing happens when I click - there's no path drawn to the core from where I am, and I've been trying to rotate the highlight and click randomly but nothing happens.

The image above is what I see (I can get the yellow highlight to come up in-game but it doesn't show for the screen capture).

Anyone have advice to get me to the next system? Trying to warp has been my biggest frustration with the game.

Since you can get to this screen, you should be able to warp (with fully fueled hyperdrive) if you left click and hold till the circle charges completely.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I don’t get the circle and holding my left mouse button down (I’m using PC) does nothing. That’s what is driving me crazy.

Do you have all hyperdrives fitted to your ship, galactic cores are drive specific and if you don't have the required drive fitted it won't let you jump

You got it! I did not have an Emeril Drive installed and it turns out that’s what I needed to be able to warp to this Galactic center. That had not been an issue on any of the prior jumps. Thanks for the help.

Looks like you have deselected your system to me. You can’t warp to the centre while the system you are in is deselected.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately this is what it looks like when I hold the left mouse button down and it moves me to the Galactic center. I did not deselect my home system but I’ll make sure it’s selected and see if that makes a difference.

I've seen this a couple times. Some "final" systems simply won't allow you to warp to the center. Don't know if they're just outside some numerical limit on distance or what.

What I do: summon the Anomaly and talk to Polo about black holes. Go to one and jump through. It will sling-shot you around the core sideways, with very little, of any distance traveled forward. You should just be able to follow the path to the core again (not more than a couple jumps) and try again.

Note: When you jump like this after recent black hole travel in the core region, you'll end in in the core region of the next galaxy. (Aka Core-to-Core travel). If you *don't* want to do this, save and quit the game. I believe when you re-start and jump, you'll end up closer to the rim (around 700k light years from core.)
