Just installed an SSD and having problems.
Hey guys, I just installed an SSD to my system and It is already a bigger headache than it is worth to me. I have my system in AHCI mode, I have windows on it, I have followed all the guides to slim down windows 7, I have changed the registry files to install to my F drive instead of my C. However programs still all install and update to my C, I honestly am not feeling much of a speed boost in comparison to my spinpoint F3 and honestly I am already thinking about ripping out the SSD and giving up. Any help?

Post the guide you used? I have the corsair M4 and the F3 and everything defaults to my F3 after registry tweaks
I used http://www.overclock.net/ssd/929553-win-7-ssds-setup-secrets.html
that guide to do it.
I only skimmed it, but i didnt see any registry hacks to change install directories.
