If that player's turn is over they should retrieve their striker, and reposition the piece on its edge. That's how I'd play it anyway.

If I placed it in the same position, directly underneath, after removing the Striker the piece fell in. So we opted to lay it down.

The referee will remove the striker for returning it to the player it belongs to, the displacement of the carrom-men while doing so is to be accepted by the players.

Thanks. This really feels like the spirit of the game, I will do this if it ever happens again, which I highly doubt.
