Are numbers/units included in the EE word count?
Hey, I'm writing an EE in physics. I'm currently trying to cut it down so it meets the 4000 requirement. One question I have is to what extent numbers and units that are placed in the body of my essay count for the wc. For example, google docs would count something like 2.532x10^(6)Wkg^(-1)m^(-1) as around 9 or 10 words, which, throughout the essay, definitely starts to add up.
Now, I know formulae, math, and equations are directly said to not count, but I couldn't find a clear answer on something like this. Does it sound reasonable to assume these sort of values would only count as 1 word each?

It's true that what they say isn't clear, so definitely don't count the words. They don't check anyway. If you really want to be safe, ask your ib coordinator, but I doubt they know any more than anyone else lol
