Aarrfg I want to shake her until she finds some sense
Seriously. If praying would bring us a baby we would have done that wayyyyyy before paying for IVF/PGT/ 2 FETs of euploid embryos.
God is just an useless RE and I can't recommend this church fertility clinic.
Thank you for making me laugh.... seriously, I'm gonna leave a SCATHING yelp review.
KNOCK ALL HER SHIT OVER
Sounds harsh but I am glad we don't live near her sometimes.
Not harsh, I moved cross country to get away from my family. Twice. Dickheads will be dickheads, no matter if related or not!
Catholic facepalm over here 😂🤦🏻♀️
If she had just said I'll be praying for you that would have been a very kind gesture....ugh.
I was just about to say... my partner is a devout catholic and SOMEHOW that didn’t prevent my miscarriage one bit 🙃
How come my church has a bunch infertile couples then? And we've been praying for a baby every single day for about a year and a half, but I'm still not pregnant.
Exactly- we didn't respond to the message. Hope she got the hint that it was out of line.
And yet... when you do go to church and you do pray and still don’t have a baby... “God works in mysterious ways... it’s all apart of The Plan”
My cousin’s MIL said “well there goes your million dollar baby” after her miscarriage (referencing all they spent in fertility treatments.) MILs suck. Being shitty is a great way to get yourself on the NC list when there is a baby one day, Karen...
Yikes! That's an immediate "grandma doesn't get to see the baby ever" whenever a baby does happen. Like damn, those are fighting words.
Oh that's horrible...
Wait - she DOES know where babies come from right? Cause last time I checked just asking for one doesn’t just magically make it happen - God isn’t Genie in the lamp
Fuck herrrr
My genius of a sister-in-law responded to the news of our third loss with "Before 12 weeks I wouldn't consider that a miscarriage."
I was literally shaking with rage. How can anyone be that dumb, guys?
Oh my god, where does she live I will fight her.
I love you.
She lives in Germany and I am actively avoiding her until Christmas at least. I'm not getting her a gift this year either. Husband can do that. Fuck her.
Ok booking my flight to Germany now.
Love you too.
You are literally the best! ❤❤❤
That's the typical response from religious folks I got them in my familytoo, if it were that easy why should I need IVF? Forget doctors, let's just pray away cancer and Covid-19.
Exactly.... if I knew I could just pray my way through infertility why did I pay for IVF, PGT and 2 FETs only to end up with nothing to show for it?
I understand, I've been through a few FET transfers with PGT embryos and ended with...nothing. And was of course told to pray and the typical ol' God has a plan or mysterious ways speech.
I think you're allowed to at least punch her. It's in the law.

Well Karen, I go to church every Sunday and pray for a baby (and other things for other people!) and I still don't have one. 🤷🏻♀️
The way I see it she's telling us we don't want it enough because we don't pray/aren't religous. So pissed.
GROSS. What is this, the prosperity gospel? You don't get handed babies just because you pray and/or are religious. Plus like...just clearly wrong. Non-religious people have babies all the time. Our population would be MUCH smaller otherwise.
