Incoming freshman with questions

Hello guys. :D

I'm an incoming freshman at Warren College majoring in Computer Science: Bioinformatics. I'd love to talk to anyone from in CSE and I'm sure there are some of you guys here.

Class registration is soon and I got random'd into the last possible enrollment time. So, fuck. Here's what I'm looking at taking:

Math 20C or 31AH

CSE 11 or 8A

Chem 6A or 6AH

Introduction to Music Composition or Warren Writing

The first choices are what I'm leaning towards but any information about these classes would be great. I'm thinking of taking Oprea for Math 20c and Sailor for Chem 6A. Ord is the only professor for both CSE 8A and 11.

I'm interested in doing undergraduate research and tutoring for the CSE department.

Also any general freshman tips would be great. Like things to bring that people don't usually think of, study tips, campus secrets, cool places around SD, anything really. I'm coming from Cerritos by the way; it's near LA.

Thanks!

Edit: You guys are all amazingly awesome. Thank you for taking the time to help me! You're the most help I've received from anywhere and I hope to see you guys in the fall. :D
