What was the last game you played on your PS4?

A lot of bittersweet postings going on about powering down the PS4 for the last time, or trading it in to pay for the PS5, so I wanted to know:

What was the last game you all played on the PS4? If you’re still going to keep your PS4, I still want to know the last game you played prior to PS5 gracing us.

For me, it’s this weird little game called Slime Rancher. I bought it because my 3 year old daughter is obsessed with slime and it’s been fun to play it with her. She’s been trying to use the controller and learn how to play, it’s been a joy.

Thanks for the memories, PS4.

Great game. I still want to play Legends.

Same. I only got maybe 10 hours in then stopped. Got sidetracked with other stuff. Been wanting to get back to it but figured I would just wait for the ps5 and just start over.

I wasn’t a big fan of the style of the game for a while but it was all I had to play at the time. It’s def worth it once you get used to all the fighting controls. Great story in the end as well.

I finally finished Persona 5 Royal on Monday. Favorite game of all time, as expected (previously, it was vanilla P5). Perfect way to end a generation for me.

I was trying to wrap it up but kept getting side tracked. It’s amazing amazing game.

Amazing game, did you get the true ending?

1
Fish-With-Pants:PSPlus: •

I got the basic ending. >!The one where you take the place of the Hollow Knight. I didn't get the ending with Hornet or go into the dream world thing.!< I didn't know anything about the game going into so I didn't realize you couldn't go back and beat things and stuff afterwards but still great game! Looking forward to the second one!

1
whiteriot413•

You can. When you reload you just load outside of the black egg. I didn't get the real ending either, those dream bosses are fuckin hard.

That’s so awesome. Just wrapped up the main story in Days Gone. Loved it. Looking forward to taking down hordes in 4K 60fps!! Upgrading from a launch day ps4.

LabyrinthyOP•

Days Gone 2 has the most potential of all the Sony franchises. It ends soooo strongly and if they focus on hordes earlier in the story and make that freaking twist at the end the story highlight it could be amazing.

2
YoJimbo342•

Agreed!

Last of Us part 2. I was afraid when ppl was hating it cuz of lesbian, joel death, muscle woman, playin with abby half game. But in the end i liked Abby much more than Ellie and game was great.

Ghost of Tsushima. It’ll also likely be the first I play on the 5 as I still need to beat it before CP2077 releases.

Wanted to go out how I came in, and it's still my favorite game.

Walmart hasn’t even updated past “Processing” for me.

Is Fall Guys still active?

Amazing. Definitely recommend if you like Yakuza and turn based gameplay

1
TriangularKiwi•

Love Yakuza, not so much turn based though, not at all actually

1
LabyrinthyOP•

Never played a Yakuza game. Feel I need to fix that.

1
TerrorTC•

Great time to start, since they just finished covering all the games with remasters, before you had to have older consoles to play em.

2
Phantasmata_•

Start with Yakuza 0 and then skip Yakuza Kiwami (remake of Yakuza 1) and head straight to 2. Not sure if there's a recap in 2 but just watch a YouTube summary

1
skele_wolf•

I definetely dont agree with what the other person said. Dont skip kiwami, you'll regret it. Another thing you can do is play kiwami first and then 0 because it's a prequel. Kiwami has a much simpler story and characters, that's why I recommend getting into the series that way

Sparkson109•

Dark Souls 3

3
LabyrinthyOP•

Awesome.

I’m excited to try it on the PS5 and see if it gets a frame rate boost. Although if the Soulsbornekiro games to 60 frames I may never play another game again.

2
Sparkson109•

“Soulsbornekiro” lmaooo u just gave me the best laugh. Thank u stranger

3
LabyrinthyOP•

Idk how I’m gonna fit Elden Ring in there yet but I’ll find a way.

battlefield 1, one of my top 5 games of all time. the atmosphere is ridiculously unmatched, its like a horror game sometimes

3
LabyrinthyOP•

Damn, really?

I used to play Battlefield religiously but dropped the series after 4 was unplayable at launch. Not that I held a grudge against it just moved away from MP.

Is that the Battlefield on the PS+ collection? If so I’ll definitely check it out.

1
Gvzmann:ghost:•

yea man its fantastic. worth all 1500+ hours i have on it! and yes it is on the collection, see you on the battlefield ;)
