I can't read it fully because of said paywall.

Also I can't help but wonder if this would also go for indonesia, where governemnts have supported islam as a way to unite against their dutch oppressor. Mind you christians, muslims and buddhists have lived there together even during times of colonization. It's only since the area became independent that there is (state induced and sustained) violence between mainly the christians and muslims.

Please participate on r/exmuslim in a civil manner. Discuss the merits of ideas - don't attack people. Insults, hate speech, advocating physical harm can get you banned.
