No config.php after installation on RHEL8

I completed the installation and the GUI setup wizard just fine. I did not get the warning about having to make a config.php, and I can add devices and everything works. The validation also passes everything.

However, I am scared to test my LDAP config since there is no config.php to change the auth back to local. Is this old documentation and its a different file I need to change?

I have also tried copying config.php.default to config.php and reloading, but then for some reason the option to change from SQL-Login to LDAP is greyed out and I cannot change it. I have not found much help with my GoogleFu either so asking here.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

If it's grayed out in the GUI it's because the config.php takes priority. Find the match config option in config.php and comment it out. The devs are moving most if not all config options to the database, so I would try and set everything via the webgui first before messing with config.php, if everything was working without config.php then you don't need it.

Thank you, I will have to look into that! Not a huge SQL guy but should hopefully be able to find out what to change if I lock myself out.

I wish there was a Local Auth Backup option or something similar. Unless there is and it just doesn't say.

I would edit the config.php when logged into the webgui, at worst case if you lock yourself out of the webgui you still have access to the config.php file and can change it back. Just make sure to set the correct settings in the webgui after you comment out the config.php sections

Thats what I'm worried about though. There is no config.php file in my install. If there was I wouldn't be too worried about having to edit it to get back in.

lnms config:set can set any setting you would set in config.php. A period separates name sections.
